Dishoom pays affectionate homage to Bombay’s disappearing Irani cafés. There were 400 of these beautiful and democratic shared spaces by the 1960s but now fewer than 30 remain. Dishoom has four restaurants in London – in Shoreditch, King’s Cross, Carnaby and Covent Garden – and will open one in Edinburgh later in 2016. Each space is like a love letter to Bombay. Dishoom’s deep love for the city – its culture, heritage, people and stories – is shared through food, drink and design, and everyone is welcomed with warmth.
